
Mr Anthony Abaidoo
Mr. Anthony Abaidoo obtained his first degree in Bachelor of Arts (BA) Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and had his Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Economics from the same institution. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Education, Winneba (UeW) and a Diploma in Financial Management from the Institute of Chattered Management (ICM).
He started his career as a Banker where he was in-charge of marketing and research. After conducting several studies with Master Card Foundation and Opportunity International on impact of school loan on school improvement and academic performance, he decided to join the education sector with his expertise.
Anthony joined MICS in 2016 as the Business Administrator and subsequently became the School Administrator and the IBDP Coordinator. He has been teaching IB Economics HL & SL and IGCSE Economics since 2016 and is an IBDP and CA Examiner. He led the MICS community to successfully become a member of the Council for International Schools (CIS) and currently leading the team for CIS Accreditation and IB 5-year review. He has volunteered for the Council for International School (CIS) to evaluate international schools in Kenya and Gabon. He is also a member of the Educational Research Network for West and Central Africa (ERNWACA) and the British Educational Research Association (BERA).
He has strong research background with specialization in school leadership, administration, evaluation, monitoring and improvement as well as students’ well-being and academic achievements. Anthony is an innovative, creative, hardworking, and a dedicated educator.
